Kiwi, Bleu, Coco,
Rita, and Calypso are a group of five shy Budgies.
Two Males, and three females.
They will be adopted out together.
They came to the rescue from a woman who had
inherited them from a relative.
Unfortunately, She felt she couldn't give them the
attention they deserved.
Rita and Calypso are male, but the other 3 are
female.
No nests are present, and there has been no egg
laying in the two months or so that they've been with their foster family.
They came into their foster home quite skittish.
They seemed to be very nervous when people came
into the room with them.
They have now become accustomed to their foster
family being nearby, and reaching into the cage to clean it and care for them.
All of them except Kiwi are willing to eat millet
from their foster mom's hands.
Calypso is the bravest about coming near their
foster family for treats, followed by Rita and Coco.
The Budgies love to chew up their toys and
cuttlebone.
They eat a healthy diet of fresh chop and Lafeber
pellets.
